A New Season
Carting chairs onto a field of manicured grass covered in dew.
Waiting in anticipation for a fresh, new jersey and socks.
Accomplishing the nearly impossible challenge of cramming a child's wiggly foot into a shin guard, never-ending sock, and tiny cleat.
Yes, folks, fall soccer season is upon us!
Kaden played in his first game on Saturday. We were so proud of him as he helped his team to win their first game of the season (5-1). He even scored two of those goals himself!
Just as Kaden is starting his new season of soccer, we as followers of Christ can begin a fresh new season of obeying God.
1 John 1:9 says, "But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness."
No matter what we've done, we can be fully cleansed of our sin.
Thank you, Lord, for a new season of following Your will for my daily life . . . and this one doesn't involve wet grass sticking to our feet.
